Becc Matarazzo is a multidisciplinary award-winning artist with a 25-year career spanning performance, wearable, and contemporary art.

For over a decade, Becc lived the life of an internationally celebrated burlesque showgirl, muse, and producer, delivering solo performances of her own design. It was within this world that she professionally honed her skills in storytelling, visual finesse, digital marketing, and theatricality.

That world of spectacle, travel, and glamour now lives on in her paintings, translated into show-stopping color, expressive texture, and bold marks of movement and improvisation.

“I enjoy creating my initial layers with fast-drying gesso and acrylic so I can keep the momentum of inspiration going. My aim is a visual that feels alive with quick decisions. I then add layers of charcoal, oil, and oil stick, bringing vibrancy and varied texture to the completed work."

Infused throughout Matarazzo’s work are Mediterranean motifs drawn from her ancestry, romantic love, and many cherished life philosophies.

Becc currently creates from her Melbourne home studio alongside her young son and ever-supportive husband.
